The 2D1N Wae Rebo village tour package allows you to visit authentic Managgarai traditional houses. A two-day Wae Rebo tour is based on a private arrangement. It combines visiting Denge and Spider Rice fields at Cara Village. Wae Rebo village is about a 6 to 7-hour drive from Labuan Bajo.
Wae Rebo Village is located in Manggarai, Flores Island, Indonesia. It is one of the highest traditional villages in Indonesia, at 1.200 meters above sea level. It is a UNESCO Heritage Site. Wae Rebo is a Mangarai ethnic village that still has its original architectural design. Traditional houses are also found in some villages in Manggarai. However, most of them have been modified to semi-modern designs.
On the 2-day 1-night Wae Rebo tour package, you will experience the beautiful landscapes, rainforest, and ricefield, and meet the people with its traditions in Wae Rebo. Experience the ancient story of the village and the story of the traditional houses. The houses consist of 7 houses and the main meeting house is called Mbaru Niang.
Wae Rebo village is one of the best tourist destinations in Indonesia. This village remains an ancient historical of the Manggarai ethnic on Flores Island. The Village is located 1.200 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by rainforests with beautiful mountains.

The hotel picks up in Labuan Bajo at 06.00 am, and after that drives directly to Denge village. Denge village is the place where you will get out of the car and start trekking to Wae Rebo. The village also offers a beautiful rice field, surrounded by the rain forest.
Arrival at Denge village, you will start trekking to Wae Rebo village. Hiking through the rain forest with a rocky road to the village and enjoying the birds singing.
Arrival at Wae Rebo village, you will need to do Pau Lu’u. Pau Lu’u is part of the Manggarai tribe tradition before you enter a village. It aims to give honor to the dead people in the village or their ancestors. You will need to give small coins at the much you want.
After that welcome ceremony, you will be redirected to one of the traditional houses. Having dinner and sleeping on the shared bed with other participants in a traditional house.
Wake up early in the morning, a foggy morning welcoming you, having sunrise, taking a picture. And then try to taste the original handmade coffee, a traditional coffee of Wae Rebo. After breakfast, you are preparing to leave Wae Rebo village.
Depart from Wae Rebo at 08.00 am, and trek through the rainforest to Denge village. Get in the car and continue to Cara Village. You will drive through Ruteng, the capital city of the Central Manggarai district, West Flores.
Arrive at Cara village, and watch the Spider Rice Field, commonly called Sawa Lingko. Take a picture and enjoy the beautiful Sawa Lingko formation. There is another word to call regarding the Sawa Lingko Lodok.
The Lodok means the center where they start to separate the rice fields. The separation is using two fingers size, the middle finger, and the pointer finger. The size is coming from two fingers and continuously gets large to the end. That will shape like a spider.
After Cara Village, you will continue to Labuan Bajo. You will drive through Lembor, the largest rice field in Manggarai. Stop for a couple of minutes for pictures. And then continue to Labuan Bajo, transfer to your hotel and the tour is the end.

All of the holiday activities are available for Flores and Komodo National Park. We also provide Alor, Sumba Island, and a combination of 2 or 3 Island activities. We do not arrange any activities, not on this website.
